HeatSource HOLIDAY MYHouse DRIVE
This holiday season we are excited to partner with an amazing local organization called MYHouse. MYHouse is a volunteer-staffed non-profit organization that makes available the
basic provisions of safety, shelter, warmth, and nourishment for young people ages 14-24 in the valley that NEED our support.
Estimates are that at any given time, there are hundreds, even thousands of our valley youth that are without a home to provide them with a safe roof over their heads, warmth, food, and people who can care for them. These young people, through no fault of their own, are hiding in plain sight around us every day. They are living in dangerous situations in homeless camps in the woods or trying to survive in cars. MYHouse wants to let teens know that they are not alone, and provide the resources needed to break the cycle. They provide:
- Individual Case Management
- Food & Appropriate Clothing
- Showers & Laundry
- Sleeping Bags & Tents
- Shelter and Housing Referrals
- Medical Care & Prescription Assistance
- Haircuts & Bus Passes
- Resume Assistance & Employment Opportunities
Because keeping homes healthy, safe and warm is our mission at HeatSource, it is our desire to partner with MYHouse in providing for those in our community who don’t have access to this very basic fundamental need. We would like to bless them with our support and the support from our amazing customers who would like to partner with us.
HERE’S HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE: FOR EVERY $5 THAT IS DONATED AND COLLECTED BY HEATSOURCE THROUGH DECEMBER 31ST, 2013, WE WILL MATCH WITH A $1 CONTRIBUTION. AND, through the end of the year, MYHouse has a very generous donor that will match dollar for dollar everything that is donated! We hope you are as excited as we are, and we thank you for considering this holiday blessing and giving the opportunity. You can donate when you have a service technician at your home or business, or you can stop by HeatSource anytime during normal business hours of 8 am – 5 pm, M-F.
